Have yet to test this new analysis tool from SpuFu.com, but it looks very promising. A mentor of mine Paul Allen, said this method is one of the best ways to validate the use of SEO inside of a business. Using the dollar spent data from PPC, one can determine the value of ranking organically for that term.

Some studies I have read, even say that you get a even more traffic for having both PPC and organic listings for the same search term. I know for a fact that having multiple web pages listed organically in a SERP, such as a double or indented listing can bring double the amount of traffic. So adding PPC or adding getting ranked for a search term you are bidding on can actually have an almost exponential effect.

Meant to help you focus on the best monetary return in relation to PPC

This is probably more true with less web savvy users of search engines. As they pay less attention to the advertisements on websites. So you might see more success with this tactic with people searching for “cute yorkie puppies” vs those looking for “xml sitemap generators“.

I merely dabble in PPC so I have yet to test this for myself. But many of my comrades in arms claim it is a valid strategy and wroth testing. Choosing those words should be easy using this tool and your own internal data.

First of all I did a search for “knol”. The 1st result of course was a stock market quote for the company Knology, Inc. Luckily for them their googleblog.blogspot.com post about the knol encyclopedia does come up second.

However, this is only one of the reasons why it is broken. The actual official document by Google is a lame blog post! I mean this post has huge paragraphs making it hard to skim for simple information that answers the simple questions such as where is this knol? Can I use it?

It just so happens that wikipedia was the third result giving me faster more relevant information than Google’s own pages did.In 30 seconds scanning the wiki page I was able to find out why I couldn’t get to the actual knol web site. Which was the reason I was searching for knol in the 1st place. According to wikipedia, knol is a closed or invitation only beta test. Knowing this ended my search. Thanks wikpedia for telling me all about the knol encyclopedia.

On a side note the fourth result is really just an image but notice that it is an actual html page rather than a image result. Which is a underused tactic to rank images as pages. Shoot even the big dawg Google uses it.
