Lore Sjöberg, is a man after my own heart. His article “Games for Control Freaks†was an awesome laugh. I mean his sarcasm about console gaming controllers is very serious. He means it when he says “All I want is a future where the televisions are rugged enough to handle having an actual brick thrown at them…†and “After all, old people and two-year-olds can be confused by normal video-game controllers, which increasingly resemble cybernetic fruit bats, but everyone understands a big frosty mug of beerâ€.
The guy’s article title is extremely clever and the author tag line he uses brings joy to my tired mind. Check it: “Born helpless, nude and unable to provide for himself, Lore Sjöberg eventually overcame these handicaps to become an alpha male, a beta tester and a gamma globulinâ€.
FYI: For those of you who didn’t click the link above a gamma globulin is “A protein found in the blood that helps fight infection†as defined by Google and its myriad of sources.
His use of smart intellect and cool slang is very much like the cherries in my Sam’s Choice mostly soy bean and some nut from China Trail mix, in that it has a complex discipline of flavor. Plain and simple he just writes things that create fun and exciting visualizations that bring me out of the work day and back into a Tim Sanders bizLove day.
Strong Bad eMails, www.homestarrunner.com, are still my top pick but I am sure Lore will quickly take the lead as my work day fun guy.
